Since this was my first time buying a home, even the process of finding and selecting an agent was foreign to me. I finally decided to reach out to Krista and a couple of other agents after sifting through tons of reviews on Zillow. Krista was the first person to get back to me, and the rest is history! This became less surprising once I got to know Krista more, because she is definitely a go-getter and will work hard to get what she (or her clients) want(s)!
I really appreciate that even though I was clueless about the whole house buying process, Krista did not take advantage of that to talk me into buying something that was not right for me. I can imagine other agents who could easily have done that. Every time we saw a house together, she would go over the pros and cons of the house with me, and ultimately let me make my own decision. And I felt very comfortable telling her my honest feelings about the houses we saw together. But I have to admit that because I was new to the process, I was apprehensive about everything, so Krista also knew exactly when I needed some encouragement from her to make a move. Overall, I really couldn’t have asked for better chemistry with an agent!
Even though I agreed to buy the house “as is,” Krista offered to negotiate with the seller so they would pay for some of the repairs needed on the house. Since it was a relatively large amount of money, I was convinced that the seller would decline, and was worried that they might pull out of the contract altogether. Needless to say, I was completely taken by surprise when Krista told me a few days later that they agree to pay for the repairs! I should also mention that the house we bought had A LOT of offers on it, but Krista knew how much I wanted it and was determined to get it for me. It was unbelievable that she figured out a strategy to get the seller to even look at our offer, let alone accept, and finally got me living in the house now!
I truly am so grateful for Krista! Because of her, my first home buying experience in the midst of this insane seller’s market was seamless!
